MATCH AT PERTH BRADMAN TO PLAY (Received October 14. 6.4?; p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 14 Don Bradman is to go to Perth to play in the English cricket, team's second match against- a combined Australian eleven. He telegraphed that ho was available and a reply was received inviting him to go to Western Australia. Dr. Alan Robertson, chairman of the Cricket Board of Control, denies that he said Bradman had given an assurance to the board that he would not write for the press. The New South Wales Cricket Association is to make a move next week to end the deadlock between Bradman and the board. It. is expected that a satisfactory solution will be reached. Associated Newspapers, Limited, which has Bradman tinder contract, publishes a statement to the effect that until such time as Bradman breaks the board's rule about player-writers the board cannot penalise him. Cricketing circles interpret this as meaning that Bradman will not be expected to write about test matches or other first-class games and therefore is not likely to come into conflict with the board.
