FLOWER AND BIRD CONTEST
LIST OF AWARDS Scores of entries of equal merit wore received for the above contest, so that it was necessary to follow the rule adopted in such cases to make the awards for those entries first opened after all the entries were in. None of tho competitors sent in a list exactly as below, but as some of the puzzles admitted of two answers, credit was given for each. The prizes have been awarded .as follows: — Boy's Book Prize: MELVILLE MIDDLETON, M.8.G., Buckland. (Aged 10.) Girl's Book Prize: OLIVE HALL, Te Kauwhata. (Aged 12.) (38 points each.) Five Mark Cards: Eileen Hurst, Lynwood Road, New Lynn; Shirley Sugden, Whenuanai; Eleanor Hildreth, Kaukapakapa; Zelda Johnston, Kaitaia; Peter Hardcastle, Domett Avenue, Epsom; Bruce Vant, Mairoa, Te Kuiti; John Morton, Morrinsville. Highly Commended: Dorel Williams, Laurel Vant, Audrey Guest. Norman Millar, K, Whitaker, Naida Hewitt, Betty Ray, Gwen Willis, Margaret Fyers, Elizabeth Cloße, Agues Stanton, Bon Bambury, Peter Churcher, Jim Middleton, Harry Dahsey, Raymond Hill.
