THE WAIKATO CENTRE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday Favourable comment on the success of tho year's operations was mado at the annual meeting of the Waikato Bowling Centre. Tho president, Mr. D. Martin, presided. The election of officers resulted:—President. Mr. E. B. Elliott (Frankton Railway): vice-president, Mr. F. Woodhall (Whitiora): secretary and treasurer. Mr. W. KENSINGTON CLUB'S SEASON [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Friday The Kensington Bowling Club opened its season yesterday afternoon in fine though overcast weather conditions. There was a large atteindance, including representatives of various northern .clubs, and the green was in splendid order. Mr. T. H. Steadman, president, welcomed the visitors and stated that although the club was passing through difficult times, there was every indication the season would be a very successful one. lie presented trophies to tho winners of last year'B competitions. Mrs. T, H. Steadman threw the first jack. The following were tho results of games played during the afternoon:—Clark, McMath, Cliff, Steadman (executive), 20, v.
