WRESTLING
WALKER AND MAMOS One of the best bouts of the season is anticipated at the Town Hall next Tuesday night, when George Walker, British Empire champion, will meet Harry Mamos in a return bout. Walker is now in his best form and his performances are so well known to Aucklanders that he is a prime favourite for the honours. His amazing strength and clever ringcraft make him a most formidable opponent, but Mamos is confident of testing him to the utmost next Tuesday. The pair have met previously this season, the match ending in a draw. Mamos will therefore, be anxious to show again that he can hold his advantage against Walker and a fast and thrilling bout should result. Mamos has already proved that he has an extensive knowledge of holds and is an outstanding wrestler. Patrons are anxiously awaiting to see how Walker will counteract these holds on this occasion. An additional attraction will be the staging of the finals of the recent amateur championships, and these will commence at 6 30 o'clock.
