ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

CONCERT AT ONEHUNGA An attractive concert programme, organised by the Onchnnga division, St. John Ambulance, drew a full audience to the Presbyterian Hall, Onelmnga, on Wednesday evening, whereby the funds of the division will be considerably augmented. On the stage, which was artistically decorated, were exhibited the trophies won by the division for efficiency during the past year. A feature of the entertainment was an Indian club display by Mr. Anderson, during which, the hall was in darkness, save for green and red electric lights attached to the dubs, giving a most, weird effect. Songs were pleasingly rendered bv Aliss Patti Schnackenberg and Airs. Alilligan, character sketches by Air. A. McSkimming. fancy dances by Mrs. A\ niton's pupils, whistling solos by Air. Rurhen, and humour by Mr. J. Bruce. The Orpheus Quartette! comprising Dr. .Kirkwood, Alessrs. Ivor, Nicholls and AlcConochie, was well received, as were Messrs. Nicholls and Ker in their duets. The scena, "In a Moonlit Garden, * was charmingly acted by Mrs. Winton. Misses Pat*i Sdinaekenbefg and F. McKenzie. Misses Hyslop and Foote played the accompaniments.
