CONTINENT AND JAPAN STRONG SYDNEY MARKET LATE RATES MAINTAINED > (Received October 4. 8.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct. 4 At the Sydney wool sales to-day 12,290 bales were offered and 11,771 were sold. Also 1315 bales were sold privately. There was strong general competition from tho Continent and Japan and to a lesser degree from Yorkshire.
