DELAY ON RAILWAY
DERAILMENT OF WAGGON | Passengers to the city on the mixed v || train which leaves Helensville at 6.46 js a.m. were delayed 42 minutes yesterday t morning by the derailment of a waggon near the Henderson station. The derailment occurred about eight o'clock, and was stated to be due to a mechanical defect developing on the waggon. Passengers had to be transferred" to a train which leaves Henderson for the city at 8.34.
Little damage was done to the permanent way, and the line was cleared about 9.25 a.m., the Opua express leaving Henderson only five minutes late. The waggon, containing butter, left the line half a mile from the station, and was dragged some distance into the yard before the train was stopped. The train was unable to continue its journey to the city until the waggon hadvbeen replaced on the line.-
