ACCUSED MAN'S APPEAL
[I?Y TELEGRAPH —I'IIESS ASSOCIATION] CIIRISTCHURCTT, Monday Tho Police Comb was startled this morning at the .sight of an accused man dramatically dropping to bis knees in tho dock, clasping his hands above his head and calling on Clod to bo bis judge. "I am going to be your judge," said the magistrate, Mr. E. D. Mosley. The man in the dock, George Percival Williams, aged 41, a carrier, was charged with drunkenness, Committing mischief and assaulting a. constable. Ho was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for assault.
