PADDY'S POINT RETURN PADDOCK YIELDS 970 Z. SDWT. The Paddy's Point Gold Mining Company, Limited (Central Otago), reports that the paddock was completed on September 21 and yielded 970z. 5 dwt. The time taken from the completion of the previous paddock was eight weeks and ahalf. The plant has now been shifted, and a start will be made by the end of the present month on the freehold property acquired from Messrs. McCaw Bros. REPORTS OF MANAGERS Golconda (Thames).— During the week the crosscut on the hangingwall of the break lias been extended to 20ft. Ihe country rock is of the best description and water is cut in nearly every h6le we bore, and the reef should be met with at any time. We were delayed to a considerable extent through a breakdown with the air compressor, but. everything is now in good working order Talisman Dubbo (Karangahake).-—For the two days worked at. No. 1 lalisman Dubbo levei last week we have been timbering the level. We have turned the level to cut the reef. The remainder of time we have "been at the Golden Dawn battery, helping with the crushing of ore from the Talisman Dubbo.
