FEAR OF FLOODS
NEW SOUTH WALES RAIN WETTEST SEPTEMBER FOR YEARS (Received September 25, 5.5 p.te.) SYDNEY, Sept. 24 With a cyclone still over the coast and further rain likely, the danger of floods in the already swollen rivers is considered at the Weather Bureau to be serious. Special flood warnings have been issued. Sydney was again drenched last night with heavy rain.
This month already has beaten the record for rain. It is the wettest September since 1879, with stjll a week to go.
