The Nobel auxiliary ketch Miro arrived from Dunedin on Saturday morning and berthed at King's Wharf to unload general cargo.

The Wingatui is to leave Duneclin this afternoon for Auckland, via Timarn, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is due at Auckland next Monday. Due from Portland this evening the Pukeko will load at Central Whal'f. She is to sail for East Coast bays, Gisborne ar.d Napier to-morrow afternoon. The Kartigi left New Plymouth for Auckland at mid-day on Saturday to complete unloading coal from Greymouth and Westport. She is expected to arrive this evening 'or to-morrow morning.

The Waimea was to leave Napier for Auckland on Saturday aft«r being delayed by the waterside workers' r.trike. The vessel is expected to arrive this morning and vv ill berth at Queen's Wharf. With cargo from South Island ports and Wellington, the Waimarino left Picton for Auckland at two o'clock 011 Saturday afternoon. Tho vessel is due to-morrow morning and she will unload at Prince's Wharf. After discharging and loading she will be despatched for Wellington, Lyttelton, Duntiiin, Oainaru and Timaru. ALTERATIONS TO ROTORUA Considerable structural alterations are '■"■ing'made to the New Zealand Shipping Company's well-known liner Rotorua, 12,200 tons, -which is being converted into a tourist-class ship. _ . The new accommodation will include einc!e berth cabins, bedstead cabins, an ~ private bathrooms. Additional eing'le and two bedstead cabins are being built on the promenade deck, and large new cabins are being, fitted on the upper deck. These will be furnished to correspond with the other accommodation, which until quite recently was rated as first-class. The ship is also being provided with an open-air swimming bath. . . The* Rotorua, on her next voyage, will leave New Zealand on March 10, enabling her tourist class to arrive 111 England in mid-April.

Slio Bailed from Auckland on September 3. the port waikato The intercolonial motor-ship Port "Waikato is duo at Dargaville from Waikato Beads to-day to complete loading. She is scheduled to leave Dargaville for Sydney to-morrow. THE KAREPO The Karepo was to leave Adelaide on Saturday. She is expected to clear Melbourne to-morrow for New Plymouth, Auckland and Wellington. THE SCHOONER HUIA After loading u. cargo of pumice at King's Wharf the Nobel auxiliary schooner Huia was removed to Queen's Wharf. She is scheduled to sail for Melbourne at ten o'clock this morning. THE TANKER SVOLDER The Norwegian tanker Svolder was scheduled to clear San Francisco on September 15 with a bulk oil cargo for discharge at Lyttelton and Wellington. She is duo at Lyttelton about October 10. TAINUI CLEARED KINGSTON The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Tainui is reported to have cleared Kingston. Jamaica, on Saturday in continuation of her voyage from London to Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Wellington on October 17. THE PORT GISBORNE The (local agents of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line have received advice that the motor-ship Port Gisborne cleared Balboa on Thursday in continuation of her voyage from London to Auckland and Dunedin. Sho is. due at Auckland on October 13.

MAKURA AT SAN FRANCISCO Cabled advice states that the Royal Mail liner Makura arrived at San Francisco from Wellington on Friday. The vessel is scheduled to sail on Wednesday on her return voyage to Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington and Sydney. She is due at Wellington on October 17. THE OTIRA The Shaw, Savill and ,Albion steamer Otira left Wellington for Auckland at ten o'clock on Saturday morping to completo loading to the agency- of L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited. The vessel is due early this morning and will berth at King's Wharf. She is scheduled to sail for London, via Cape Horn, on Wednesday.

THE PORT WHANGAREI The motor-ship Port Wlinngarei is expected from Port Kembla, Sydney and Newcastle this evening or to-morrow morning. The vessel will unload a quantity of cargo nt Central Wharf and the remainder at Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Messrs. Watkin and Wallis are the local agents. TANKER NUCULA RETURNED The Admiralty oil tanker Nucula returned from LO3 Augeles yesterday morning with a full cargo of bulk petrol for the Navy Department. The tanker experienced an exceptionally fair weather voyage. Owing to the berths at Devonport being occupied by the warships the Nucula will remain in the stream. THE PORT WELLINGTON The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Wellington arrived from Wellington yesterday morning and berthed at Prince's Wharf to complete loading. She is to sail for London, via Cape Horn, on Wednesday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company are the local agents. GOLDEN HARVEST REPORTS Wireless advice received by ' Henderson and Macfarlane, Limited, from the American steamer Golden Harvest states that she will arrive from Los Angeles to-morrow. The vessel has cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Australia. THE RARANGA In continuation of her voyage from London the Shaw, Savill and Albion ' steamer Raranga sailed for Wellington on Saturday morning. After completion of discharge the vessel will load for her homeward voyage at Napier. New Plymouth, Wellington. Lyttelton and .fVirt Chalmers. She is scheduled to clear Port Chalmers for London, via Cape Horn, on October 15. MARAMA TO RESUME The Marama is under overhaul at Wellington preparatory to being recommissioned in the intercolonial passenger service. The vessel is scheduled to leave Wellington on November 1 and Auckland on November 4 for Sydney. She will run in conjunction with the ilaunganui, which nt present calls at both Wellington and Auckland every trip from Sydney. MARIPOSA LEAVES SYDNEY The Oceanic Company's liner Mariposa left Sydney at mid-day on Saturday on her return voyage to Los Angeles and San Francisco, via Auckland, Suva, Pago Pago and Honolulu, She is scheduled to arrive at Auckland at 10 o'clock to-morrow morning. The vessel has 123 passengers for Auckland and 98 for ports beyond. A further number of passengers will embark at Auckland before the vessej resumes her voyage at five o'clock to-morrow evening. THE ATUA Mr. George "Niccol's new motor-vessel Atua returned from Norfolk Island yesterday morning and berthed at Queen's Wharf to unload a quantity of fruit and potatoes. The vessel left Auckland at mid-day on September 17 and experienced moderate variable head winds on the passage to Norfolk Island where she arrived at daybreak last Wednesday morning, the speed having averaged 7.8 knots. On the return passage she experienced fine weather. The speed of the engines was increased. She left the island at 11 o'clock on Thursday morning and reached Auckland in slightly less than 70 hours at an average speed of 8.0 knots. No announcement has been made regarding the vessel's future movements.

WELLINGTON-LYTTEyrON SERVICE The Rangatira will withdraw from the Wellingtcn-Lyttelton ferry service on arrival at Wellington on Sunday, October 9, and she -will resume running on Monday, October 17. The Wahme is undergoing overhaul preparatory to being recommissioned. She will leave Wellington for Lyttelton on Monday. October 10, in place of the Rangatira. On arrival at Wellington on Sunday, October 16, the Wahine will wait over and sail on Tuesday, October 18, and continue in the service in place of the Maori, which will withdraw at Wellington on Tuesday, October 18, and will be laid up for the summer months.
