SPRING FLOWER SHOWS
MORRINSVILLE FIXTURE EXHIBITS OF DAFFODILS [from our own correspondent] MORRINSVILLE, Saturday
That there are many keen amateur gardenors in tho Morrinsville district was demonstrated at the second annual daffodil show held undor the auspices of the St. Matthow's Church, in the parish hall. There were over 200 exhibits. The judge of cut flowers, Mr. C. W. Pierson, of To Aroha, who is a vice-president of the National Daffodil Society of New Zealand, was very well satisfied with tho quantity and quality of tho blooms. Mr. G. Yarrall, Waitoa, won all the first prizes for daffodils in tho open and amateur sections. Ho also won outright the crystal rose bowl for most points in the show with 15 points, Mrs. W. N. Tangye (Piako) being runnor-up with 13 points. DISPLAY AT PUKEATUA iPRINCTTAL PRIZE-WINNERS

The second Pukeatua spring show was held in tho Pukeatua Hall last week. The entries in all classes* were well up to standard, and the prizes wcro well distributed.
Points prizes were won by the following :—Mesdames Crowley, McKee, H. Heddon, Misses J. Kurth, McDonald, and in the children's class by Beatrice Bulmer and Frank McGrath, who were equal. A special prize for tho girl gaining the most points in the show was won by Miss J. Kurth, and Mrs. O'Halloran won the prize for the largest number of entries. A special prize was won by Mr. R. Anderson, and Mrs. Crowley won the trophy for tho champion narcissus in the show.
