BOOM IN FENCING WIRE
TARANAKI FARMERS BUSY There is a, boom in fencing wire, according to a New Plymouth wholesale agent, who stated last we*k that during the last three months sales have doubled. The cause is attributed practically entirely to (he growing subdivision of their paddocks by farmers who realise that smaller into which stock, can be placed in rotation, are more economical than big runs. The tendency to subdivide was general throughout the Dominion, it was stated, but its effects were being felt most strikingly in Taranaki, where a shipment of materials, which is not due at New Plymouth until October 5, was already nearly all sold.
