THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE STEADY SATURDAY BUSINESS No important chango occurred in the investment market on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning. Interest was Maintained at firm levels in all sections of tho market and steady i business was done. In Government loans buyers supported 1933, 1939 and 1937 Joans consistently. Some requirements were satisfied in 1938 per cent stock at £95, a rise of 2s 6d.

Stoady support was accorded banks and insurance also remained in firm request. In coals Westports were dealt in equal to latest Southern levels at 12s 6d.

Further supplies of Colonial Sugars were released at. the higher level touched on tho previous day, two parcels being secured at £4B 10s. Holders closed slightly easier than on Friday at £49 ss. Taranaki Oils were dealt in unaltered at 2s 8d and New Zealand Refrigerating contributings improved a penny on salo at 3s 9d.

A firm demand was maintained for mining shares. Tho only business completed was a transaction in Golden Dawns at 5s 3d, an unaltered price. The Stock Exchanges will be closed today for Dominion Day holiday. Business will bo resumed to-morrow. CLOSING QUOTATIONS Buyers Sellers JC s d £ a d BANKS
