EVERYTHING SATISFACTORY DIVERSION TUNNEL CLOSED {from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Advantage was of the reduced level of the water in the Arapuni headrace yesterday and to-day to make a further inspection of the lining. In order to prolong the inspection the closing of the diversion tunnel was delayed until this afternoon. The seepage inlet has been effectively closed and the lining has been found to be satisfactory. Mr. T. Rabone, the engineer in charge, said to-day that the diversion tunnel might be reopened at any time to facili-. tate the inspection work as a matter of rou'line, and variations in the level of the river should not necessarily be taken ast an indication that.anything was wrong.
