ALLEGED SEDITIOUS MATTER COMMITTED FOR TRIAL BRISBANE. Sept. 22 In tho Brisbane Police Court to-day Martin Luther Reading, formerly of New Zealand, editor of the Daily Telegraph, on a charge of publishing seditious matter, was, committed for trial at tho Criminal Court on November 14. Bail was allowed in the sum of £BO. Tho case against George Melton, publisher of [he Telograph, was adjourned for a week. Tho charge relates to the publication of a letter alleged to bo seditious. The case is being defended on the ground that the letter was not seditious.
