AVONDALE CLUB'S YEAR The report presented at the annual meeting of the Avondale Lawn Tennis Club showed that for the past eeason members' subscriptions had come in well, there being no defaulters. The report stated that the club was in the happy position of starting th» new season with assets exceeding £SO and no liabilities. There would be an extra court this season. Mr. R. B. Varley Hudson and Miss Kerr; secretary and treasurer. Mr. R. I). Ward: ground committee. Messrs Fleming. E. Pilkington and Garvey; match committee. Mn. Trapski and Messrs. Pilkington and Ward; genera] committee, the president, vice-presidents, secretary, Mrs. Miller. Misses Scarborough and E. Quinlan, Messrs. Sheahan. T. Johnson, II Rhodes, Garvey and Pilkington. The annual report and balance-sheet showed that the club had had a very successful season. It was the club's intention to arrange for a coach to visit Otorohanga.
