CLASH IN INDIA
TROOPS AND TRIBESMEN NIGHT ATTACK FAILS CALCUTTA. Sept. 19 A party of Shamozai tribesmen, attempting a night attack on the camp of Cbitral relief troops, met with a hot reception. Twenty were killed and scores injured. The tribesmen attacked in strength but were ambushed. In fierce hand-to-hand fighting two troopers were killed and three wounded.
