OVERHEATED WOOL
BALES FROM THE T AIR OA Owing to certain bales of Vvool being suspected of being in a heated condition, a number of bales were unloaded on Sunday from one of the holds of the Shaw, Savill steamer Tairoa. which arrived afc Wellington early in the morning from Timaru to complete her homeward loading. The bales suspected of being in a heated condition] were loaded at Timaru, where other bales in the same consignment which were not loaded into the Vessel showed signs of heat after the Tairoa bad left that port: . The bales showing signs of heat were very few in number? and were slowed in one hold only.
