CONTROL BOARD MEETING MATCH BETWEEN WARSHIPS SOUTH AUCKLAND GAME OFF A decision to play the return match between 11.M.5. Diomede and H.M.S. Dunedin at Blandford Park on Saturday was made at a meeting of the control board of the Auckland Football Association last evening. The return Auckland-Navy game will be played on Saturday week. Regret that its match with Auckland had been cancelled was expressed in a letter received from the South Auckland Association. The match was tentatively ifrranged for next Saturday, but, owing to the number of fixtures yet to be decided. Auckland was forced to cancel the contest. A number of rules pertaining to the Frank Campbell Rose Bowl competition were drawn up and it was decided to refer these to the Wellington Association for consideration.
