FIRST OF KIND IN ENGLAND. A new "golf course entirely managed by women, and a club exclusively for women gdfers, has been constructed in >*oval Aslulown Forest in Sussex, England. Ihe course, which /narks a new era in golf, is of championship length and the first, of its kind in England. The only othe»course exclusively set apart for women is al Sunningdale, but this is much shorter and presents fewer difficulties than the one-at'Koyal Ashdown. There is only one other women s course in the world—the Women's National in New York, at which Ernest Jones, the tormer London golfer, is the professional. At lioval Ashdown men will be allowed to' play over the women's course on certain (lays in the week and on pay ment of a specified green fee. 1 his is the converse of general practice, I lie project will be watched by golfers with considerable interest.
