WAIKATO WINTER SHOW

ASSOCIATION'S GOOD YEAR CREDIT OF NEARLY £IOO [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Tuesday After writing off £6OB as depreciation, the Waikato Winter Show Association has completed its year's operations with a credit, balance of nearly £IOO. Referring to the association's position at a committee meeting to-day, the president, Mr. .T. Treloar, paid the members could congratulate themselves on the fact that the association had passed through the most difficult year in its experience and had emerged with a credit balance. It had been the, policy of the association to spend as much money as possible on labour, and this expenditure had been of material assistance to the unemployed. In view of the experiences of other show associations throughout, the country, the Waikato Association had been very fortunate, said Mr. Treloar. The position in which it found itself was a great, tribute to the secretary, Mr. W. H. Paul. Mr. Paul said the gate takings had totalled £j6oo. The committee, authorised the secretary to prepare a model engineering section for the next show. Provision was also mado for bacon and parsley classes.
