THE PRICE OF MILK
Sir, —l;our correspondent "Town •Supplier" states that he receives a gallon for his contract supply of milk and c, gallon for surplus milk which, in flush months, is nearly equal to contract. Surely there is a mistake somewhere. The consumer could raise no to the fixed price of 5d a quart provided the producer, the man who carries the heavy burden of work and financial responsibility, receives a fair return, which he surely merits. Can it be claimed gallon, if this bo correct, is a fair price
to pay for that which the consumer has to pay Is Btl u gallon to tho distributor? C.A.E.
