WATERVIEW CHURCH JUBILEH SPECIAL SERVICES HELD A feature of the celebrations in connect" tion with the 50th anniversary of : tha: Waterview Methodist Church : yesterday was the presence of large numbers of~ former members who are now living in . other districts. Some : .of these took their places in the choir in which they had served years previously. The church was filled at each of ths three services, the preachers at. which were the Revs. J. Olphert, F. A. Thojnp?. son and A. Mcßean. All . these. ssnricga were "of a musical character, tha" under the direction of Mrs. K. Taitton," : giving excellent service. In addition, com* 1 munion was administered at 8 . a.m. Mr. Mcßean, the superintendent minister* A generous response was made to tha, appeal of the trustees for financial help in connection with the property fund," the sum of £35 being contributed. The celebrations will be concluded v<itls a tea meeting and concert to-inorrow event ing.
