MADAME GALLI-CURCI
To greet Madame Amelita Galli-Curci when she opened her concert season in I Auckland at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, there was a large and most enthusiastic audience, who received her delightedly when she appeared upon the stage for her first number. Madame GalliCurci wore a very charming frock of white tulle over silver tissue, fitting closely to the figure to the knees and finishing in deep flared frills with-a slight train at the back. Both in the front and the back of the frock was a graduated panel of silver tissue with - a tasselled effect of diamante falling from the waist in front almost to the hem.' A necklace of pearle, and diamond and pearl ear-rings were also worn. Some beautiful flowers were presented to the singer.
