ANNUAL MEETINGS HELD PONSONBY CLUB'S OFFICERS Five teams were entered in tho Aucklanfl Cricket Association a competitions, stated tho report presented at the annual meeting of tho Ponsonby Cricket Club last evening Although all teams played several interesting and close games, none y.as successful in winning its grade. Generally speaking, both batting and bowling " ere below tho average of previous years. Tiophies for best all-round- performances were awarded as follows: —Setiior Clip, JN. C. Sneddon; Junior Cup for' senior B grade, H. E. Warneford; liijidlaw Cup, for the second grade, H. Lash. A new cup, to be known as the Club Cup. was awarded to D. Mclndoe for" this season, as the. most promising member.-of the club. • In the game New Zealand v. South Africa, first, test at • Christchnrch/ the club was represented by 'D. C Cleverley also by D» C. Cleverley and T. Glarjc in Plunket Shield matches, while., J. Farquhar and O. Donaldson travelled to' Wellington with the Brabin Cup team. A team reprinting the club travelled to Cambridge, Paeroa and Waihi at Easter-time, winning the brat game, playing a drawn game in the second and losing and drawing at Waibi. Like most sports bodies the club had shown a loss on the year's working.
