CRICKET PUBLICATIONS
COACHING OF SCHOOLBOYS The difficulties which copfront the school cricket conch in his endeavour to instil into the hoys the rudiments of the game are fully realised by P. II". Kemp, headmaster of the Forsfer School, London, who, in two recent publications, entitled "Cricket Practice for Boys" and "Cricket for Schools." endeavours to remove most of these obstacles. Both books form a valuable addition to cricket literature, in that they deal with a phase of the game rarely touched on by other writers, namely, the organisation and means of practice among schoolboys. From practical experience the writer realises that lack of facilities and gear form the chief drawbacks to the game among boys, and he gives valuable information as to how these can be overcome. Useful hints are at the disposal of the school coach, who may not have had the wide playing and coaching experience of the author. Writ len in the simplest language, the volumes contain a wealth of cricket detail, arid many of the author's suggestions would materially help the advanced pupil as well as the novice. A number of useful illustrations further enhance the value of the books, which are published at a very moderate price by Herbert Russell, London.
