NO MEDIATION YET INDEPENDENT MEETINGS" LONLON. Sept. 2 Although no official attempt at mediation in the Lancashire cotton strike has been undertaken yet, the prospects of intervention are being actively explored by the Minister of Labour, Sir Henry Betterton. The general situation was reviewed today by organisations of the operatives and of the employers, which met independently in Manchester.
