ANNUAL RUGBY BALL
NORTH SHORE CLUB
The annual ball of the North Shore Rugby Football Club, held at the Parish Hall at Devonport on Saturday evening, proved a very popular function. The hall was attractively decorated with streamers and bush ferns, and the same colour scheme was used in tho supper room downstairs. The dance music was provided by Mr. R. Reid's orchestra. The chaperones and members of the committee present were: Mrs. W. B. O'Brien, who wore a frock of bottle green and pink flowered ring velvet; Mrs. A. Wallace, peach taffeta; Mrs. L. Martinson, black Chantilly lace; Miss P. Palker, blush roso taffeta; Miss 0. Stokes, white angel skin; Miss Molly Koefoed, tangarinc floral ninon; Miss S. Walsh, Burgundy satin beaute; Miss K. O'Brien, wild roso frilled taffeta ; Miss D. Curtayne, pink and blue flowered taffeta; .Miss. Wallace, maize taffeta. Among those present were; Mrs. 11. F. Meikle, Mayoress of Devonport, who wore a frock of black georgette with a lloral lame coatee; Mrs. Oompton, champagne Chantilly lace; Mrs. Proctor, floral georgette in shades of pink and blue; Miss B. Atkinson, cherry organdie; Miss Paulino Rawson, peach satin beaute; Miss I. McClusky, scagreen satin beaute; Miss J. Williams, gold lace, Miss J. Stephenson, blush pink satin beaute; Miss Jean Sloane, powder blue taffeta; Miss B. Strutt, turquoise blue satin; Miss K. Nash, blue lace; Miss R. Beero, black floral georgette; Miss D. Donaldson, white lace; Miss Nora Copeland, lapis blue taffeta; Miss Jean Gray, duck-egg satin; Miss Danielson, black georgette"; Miss Gladys Ivil, cream and silver net; Miss Connie Cunningham, ecru laco with godets of frilled georgette; Miss Joyce Palmer, cherry satin; Miss M. Spicer, nattier blue georgette; Miss M. Patterson, jade green satin: Miss Rene Lloyd, cream satin beaute; Miss I>. Bowden (Te Awamutu), white taffeta; Miss E. Bowden, floral ninon; Miss V. Stribbing, pastel pink satin; Miss J. Seligham, floral taffeta; Miss 13. Newbolt, Nile green taffeta; Miss M. Wagstaff, peach taffeta; Miss P. Hill, leaf green satin and lace; Miss L. Lawrence, powder pink taffeta and tulle; Miss B. Sinclair, eaudenil georgette.
