MUNICIPAL BAND

A most enjoyable recital was presented by the Municipal Band in the Town Hall on Saturday evening. Each number of the comprehensive programme was enthusiastically received. Probably the most popular items were Wagner's " Flying Dutchman," Sullivan's " Gondoliers " and Gounod's " La Rene do Saba." Several of the lighter numbers were also encored. The assisting artists were Miss Nellie Lingard, contralto, and Mr. A. Lyon Griffiths, baritono and elocutionist. A fine programme was also given at the Zoological Park yesterday afternoon.
