Plans to revolutionise the German broadcasting system by effecting the complete control by the Government of all stations are being made. .At present the German wireless stations are controlled by 10 separate regional companies. Good progress is being made with the new Empire station at Davcntry. The majority of the aerial masts were in position last month and the transmitter was nearing completion. Thero is 110 reason to doubt that the station will be working by the end of the year. At tho Radio Exhibition at Olympia, London, last mouth, new radio users were instructed in the art of tuning-in without oscillating neighbours' sets. This arrangement applied to no fewer than 108 out of 300 stands at Olympia. Even more detailed demonstrations wore given in a number of listening rooms.
