METROPOLITAN SCOUTS

ANNUAL DINNER HELD The scout officers of the Auckland metropolitan area held their annual dinner on Saturday evening, tlie metropolitan commissioner, Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, presiding over a record attendance. Sir Joseph Smith and Mr E. E. Kitchener, representing the Rotary Club, and Major Sandford, representing the Dominion headquarters, were present. Several toasts were honoured. A presentation of a clock was made to Commisisoner and Mrs. Tribble on the occasion of their marriage. The next portion of the evening was devoted to campfire singing. Commissioners Johns and Middleton acted as campfire leaders.
