DAIRYING INDUSTRY
TE AROHA-THAMES VALLEY OPERATIONS OF COMPANY Congratulatidns on the result of the past season's operations were extended to shareholders of the Te Aroha-Thames Valley Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, by the chairman of directors, Mr. W. H. Einett, at tho annual meeting of the company at Te Aroha on Saturday.
In reviewing the year's operations the managing director, Mr. F. S. Board, said the suppliers numbered over 400. The grading throughout the season had been very satisfactory, and in point of quality the company's product stood second highest in the Auckland province. A considerable part of the expenditure of the past two years would bo in favour of the company in the present season, when its benefits would bo felt.
After discussion the meeting passed a recommendation to the directors tc apply to the Te Arolia Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited, for a refund or allowance on tho amount paid for the 'propet ty and goodwill, it having been sold with a turnover of 1800 tons, whereas this had now decreased to under 1600 tons a year. NORTHERN WAIROA COMPANY ELECTION OF DIRECTORS [uy tklegbaph—own correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Monday A good deal of interest was taken in the election of two directors of the Northern Wairoa Co-operative Dairy Company. Tliere were three candidates, and the election resulted in the return of the retiring directors, Messrs. C. N. Taylor and E. G. Appleton. The voting was as follows:—Mr. Taylor, 795; Mr. Appleton, 606; Mr. W. A. Morgan, 458. Another election will be held next month to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. R. A. Lewis. It is understood there will be several candidates.
