YESTERDAY'S SALES RETURN ON INVESTMENTS ■ Following is a. list of yesterday's transactions on New Zealand Stock Exchanges. In the second column is given the return, based on the last annual dividend, from investment ,at the quoted price. In the case of Government and other redeemable securities no return is given, in view of the new method of quotation, but tho months in which interest is due are shown. AUSTRALIAN STOCK EXCHANGES YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS (Received August 29. 8.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, Ausr. 29 On the Sydney Stock Exchange to-day there was an excellent turnover and a firm tono for pastorals, owing to the optimistic view regarding the wool sales. Banks were quiet. Steam, gas and brewery shares had good inquiry and there was unusual activity in gold stocks. This morning's sales were :—Commonwealth 4 per cent bonds: 1938, £99 15s; 1941, £99 12s 6d; 1955, £9B 15s; 1957, £99 2s 6d.
