SOUTH CALIFORNIA BEATEN (Received August 28, 5.5 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27 Sir. Mailcy's eleven defeated a picked Southern California team. They made 181 for two wickets, and the local 18 batsmen were dismissed for 122. McCabe made 83, Richardson 60, Kippax 9 not out, and Bradman 19 not out. McCabe took three wickets with three consecutive balls.
