FIRE AT TAKAPUNA
COTTAGE A TOTAL LOSS A fire, which broke out shortly • after four o'clock yesterday morning, destroyed a two-roomed cottage owned and occupied by Mr. E. Mountfort and situated at Northboro Koad, Takapuna. The Takapuna fire brigade was promptly on the scene, but could do nothing owing to the absence of water, the nearest main being a quarter of a mile away. Mr. Mountfort lost everything. The origin of the fire is not known.
