ALSATIANS ON DISPLAY
CLUB'S FIRST PARADE TOTAL OF 70 EXHIBITED Seventy Alsatian dogs of all ages were on display at, the first parade of the Auckland Alsatian Club, held at the Brewery Reserve, Ivhyber Pass, on Saturday afternoon, It was one of the finest collections of this type of dog ever exhibited in Auckland. The classes were judged by Mr. E. V. Nelson, of Onehunga, who gave a short interesting talk on show preparation and ringcraft, demonstrating with Peter of Braemoor, which was adjudged the best Alsatian at the Auckland Kennel Club's show held in conjunction with the Winter Exhibition. The awards are:— SPECIAL AWARDS Best Dog. ribbon presented by Mrs. J. C. Curran.—Mt. H. Wilkins' Brutus of Shadowvale. Best Bitch, ribbon presented by Mrs. J. C. Ross.—E. Phillips' Maid Marion of Orakei. Best Puppy, ribbon presented by Mrs. C. R. Parker.—N. Castle's Bossy. DOGS Puppy, under six months.—J. McLean's Kuff of Deighton, 1; J. C. Curran's Count Battenburg, 2; J. C. Curran's Crown Prince Batt9nburg, 3. Puppy, under 12 months.—J. McLean's Kuff of Deighton, 1; J. C. Curran's Count Battenburg, 2; F. Kempster's entry, 3.
