CHARGE OF FRAUD
MAN REMANDED AT WAIHI [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WAIHI, Tuesday Charged with being idle and disorderly and with having obtained £1 from Ambrose Carpenter and £3 from Gordon Menzies by means of valueless cheques. Carl John Conrad Craven, aged 27, appeared in the Waihi Police Court this morning. Accused was remanded until August 24. Bail was fixed at £.IOO on accused's own recognisance and a surety of a similar amount.
