Some interesting figures in connection with the work done by members of the brigade in New Zealand while attending sports and other gatherings on Saturday afternoons have just been published by the chief commissioner. Returns wcro obtained ,Jor a particular Saturday afternoon during July and tho information which has bein sent in shows that on the day referred to over 200 sports grounds were staffed by brigade members throughout the Dominion, 521 members of ambulance and nursing divisions were on duty and 1162 cases of first-aid were attended to. Each year additional demands uro made upon the" brigade for the supply of first-aid workers and the fact that thero has been an increase of 233 cases over the corresponding day of last year shows that the brigade is fully justifiying its existence. Although the great majority of the cases were of a minor nature, some of a more serious kind were dealt with.
