KISSING
' ■ JIY A DOCTOR Kissing between adults is harmless •enough provided one or other of them has not an obvious cold. But adults, by definition, have been in this world a considerable time and have presumably developed a certain amount of resistance to the germs tliat swarm therein. But infants have not got this advantage and a kiss may well catch them .unawares. Ihe pronrscuous kissing of children by strangers is, I am sure, strongly to be discouraged. Moreover, I _ believe that many people would find life less embarrassing if ibis fashion went out and they Were not expected to kiss every baby they met. j;
