BIBLE IN SCHOOLS
PROPOSAL AT WAIHI [TIY TELEGIUIMI—OWN correspondent] "WAIHI, Friday -Acting on behalf of the Waihi Ministers' -Association, the Rev. H. J. Williams approached the schools committee last evening with regard to the introduction of religious instruction in the local schools. Tho suggestion was that the Nelson system should be introduced, and Mr. Williams assured the committee j that if consent were given the Ministers -Association would undertake that; nothing controversial or calculated to offend any denomination would bo permitted )" the, course of instruction. The committee decided to give the association permission to test the feeling o parents on tho subject.
