SMALL BOAT'S CRUISE
JOURNEY DOWN COAST PROGRESS OF THE ROGUE "WONDERFUL TRIP SO FAR" • The Auckland mullet boat Rogue was expected to leave Whitianga yesterday for Tauranga, according to advice received by Mrs. D- G. Andrews, of Auckland, the mother of the owner of the , boat, Mr. M. Andrews. The Rogue left Rocky Bay, Waiheke, where she had been ( sheltering, last Saturday for Coromandel, but went to the Great Barrier instead ■ and put into Port Fitzroy. From there . she was towed to Whitianga by a fisherman's launch, reaching there on Monday . evening. Mr. Andrews is accompanied by his wife and his younger brother, Mr. G. Andrews. In a letter to his mother received yesterday, Mr. Andrews said the party had had a wonderful trip so far. While the bad weather last week was delaying shipping he had remained in the shelter of / Waiheke Island and had. met with wonderful hospitality from the residents. He stated it was his intention to keep close to the coast on his way south and to do his sailing during the daytime, coming inshore for shelter at night whenever possible. He also mentioned that all the members of the party were in good health and enjoying the experience. Their wireless set was working well and they were being kept in touch with happenings on shore. ______
