PRESENTATION
Mr. R. C. D. Lightbonrne, headmaster of the Waihi Junior High School, who has been transferred to tho charge of the Huntly High School, and who takes over his new duties, at Huntly on Tuesday, was farewelled in the Waihi School grounds yesterday , afternoon _in the presence of a large gathering, including hundreds of parents. He* was presented with a chiming clock, the Rift of the pupils. The Mayor, Mr. W. M. Wallnutt, paid a high tribute to Mr. Lightbournei good services during his five years in Waihi. The chairman of the school committee, Mr. E. C. Westbury, and other speakers also eulogised to Mr. Lightbourne's work.
