REMAINS FOR PORTUGAL BRITISH CRUISER TO CARRY (Received Jul? 26, 6.5 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, July 2o The remains of ex-King Manoel of Portugal are to be carried from England .to Portugal in the British cruiser Concord. Recently the British Government offered to place a warship at the disposal of the Portuguese Government for the conveyance of the body of the ex-King to his native land. The Portuguese Government gratefully accepted the offer, and the Concord will sail from Portsmouth on a date to be announced later. Ihe body has rested since the funeral in a private mausoleum near Weybridge.
