MATCH AGAINST WELLINGTON LOWER GRADE FIXTURES A loiter was received from tho Wellington Association at last evening's meeting of the control board of the Auckland Football Association elating terms for the proposed match with tho Auckland representative team at Wellington on August 13. It was decided to defer acceptance of tho fixture until further correspondence is received from Wellington. Tho Abel'e Club was granted permission to travel to Huntly on Saturday. NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL GAME AT lIIKURANGI APPROVED [BY TELEGRAPH— ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Tuesday Tho council of tho New Zealand Football Association this evening granted permission for a representative match between the Auckland and North Auckland Associations to be played at Hikurangi on a date to bo fixed. The Otago Association notified the council that owing to local and Chatham Clip fixtures and tho Football Association trophy match with Auckland on August G, it could not accept challenges from Canterbury and Wellington. It was agreed to make a loan of £25 to the Marist Club toward travelling expenses to Auckland to play in the semi-final cf tho Chatham Cup, the loan to bo charged against the gate receipts of tho match.
