! reports of managers !- - . Talisman Dubbo (Karangahake).—The drive at No. 1 Talisman level was extended Bft. last week. Long Trail (Coromandel).—For the week ended July 23 work was confined to battery construction, and good progress has been made. Mount Tokatea (Coromandel).— For the week ended July 23 tho main crosscut toward tho hangingwall of tho Tokatea reef was advanced a further 10ft. At this point the hangingwall was intersected. Tho last 40ft. of the crosscut passed through heavily-mineralised ore showing a good percentage of copper, lead and zinc sulphides. Tho ore adjacent to tho hang? ingwall is heavily charged with Icad-car-bonate and partially altered sulphides. Tho general appearance of the reef indicates that a good deal of leaching has taken place. The hangingwall disclosed is not in place, so the tunnel has been turned and will bo driven on this until the true is reached, at which point the reef will again be crosscut to test its size and On tho Madill leader the drive at No. 1 level has been advanced to 30ft. and tlie oro is improving. On No. 1 dropper wor ' is being put in hand to stope the block o! oro showing along tho floor of the low level, where sonio very nice picked stone was obtained when driving on the leacici.
