ANNUAL CHESS CONGRESS
FIXTURE IN AUCKLAND A decision to accept the invitation of the New Zealand Chess Association to hold the annual congress in Auckland this year was reached at a special meeting of tho Auckland Chess Club. According to rota, Duncdin should be tho centre but this was declined on the score of expense. Tho congress will meet at Christmas, and games lasting about a fortnight will bo held to decido tho Now Zealand championship.
