QUESTION OF EXTENSIONS [from our own correspondent] PUKEKOHE, Tuealftv The Franklin Power Board at its meeting to-day decided to have an estimate made of the cost of reticulating the Opua-tia-Glenmurray district and a canvass made to ascertain If a payable load was offering. The engineer, Mr, L. G. Sharp, reported that a canvass had been made of Bell's Estate, Mangatawhiri, but sufficient load was not yot offering. It was mentioned by the secretary, Mr. S. P. Day, that last financial year repayments to the board under hire-pur-chase agreements had exceeded tho amounts due for tho period. It was agreed that the question of a further reduction in the charge for community lighting should be considered by tho board at its meeting next month, when further particulars will be to hand.
