IMPRISONMENT NOT IMPOSED A plea of guilty was offered by Gerald Ileatly Bolt, aged 47, who was charged with unlawful carnal knowledge at Wha- * ngarei in October last of a girl aged 14 .$i years and 10 iponlhs. ■ ' Mr. Justice Herdman said it was evi- ; dent from tho depositions that tho girl in the case was utterly depraved. Tho police staled that Bolt was physically and men--tally weak. In the circumstances, the ends of justice would best bo served by ordering Bolt to come up for 'sentence .when called upon, and to pay the costs |>£ the prosecution.
