CANADIANS WARNED.
MUST MAKE SACRIFICES.
HALIFAX, July 11
Citing as an instanco the recent refusal of the Canadian cotton industry to yield concessions to the British textiles as auguring ill for the Ottawa Conference, Mr. F. B. McCurdy, formerly Minister of Public Works, declares that the Canadian manufacturer has been long privir leged under protective tariffs and must make sacrifices if the conference is to produce beneficial results.
